I owned a yarn store in rural Pennsylvania from 2007-2012. My customers were quite discerning and were always looking for something unique. When considering what to bring in each season, I often wondered what it would be like to create my own yarn line – in colors and weights that my customers were looking for. Could I manufacture yarn that closely matched customer requests? Not only would they be happy, but I could also maximize my profits.
In 2011, my husband and I opened our own fiber mill. I continued to develop the idea of customizable yarn and today it is a reality! Ewe Brand It allows yarn shop owners, indie dyers and small wholesale companies to develop yarns specific to their needs and give them greater control of retail profits.
